Approach
From first idea to lasting value.
Most advisers help with one part of a deal. We stay with it from the first conversation to what happens after signature, so nothing is lost between the idea, the terms and the delivery.
Originate
Finding the opportunity.
New partnerships, new markets, new sporting and entertainment properties, events and commercial models. Often it starts with two businesses that did not yet know they needed each other.
→ Structure
Shaping how it works.
Bringing the right parties to the table, including specialist capability from outside the business, defining what each brings and receives, and setting the commercial model, the terms and the incentives that hold it together.
→ Execute
Seeing it through.
Carrying the opportunity from initial discussions through negotiation, agreement and implementation, with senior involvement throughout and specialist advisers brought in where the work requires it.
→ Build
Staying invested.
Supporting selected businesses and ventures as they grow, through an ongoing advisory role, a partnership, a board seat or, in selected cases, a minority equity interest on the founder's part.
Advisory & Ventures
Senior advice, with a share in the outcome.
Commercial and strategic advice for businesses at a point of growth or change, and a small number of ventures where we contribute more than capital.
Commercial and strategic advisory
Market expansion, partnership development, commercial reviews, contractual negotiations and deal structuring, for rights holders, brands and growing businesses.
New properties and IP
Originating new sporting concepts, events and intellectual property, and developing the commercial value of existing businesses and assets.
Board and advisory roles
Strategic adviser, advisory board, non-executive director and board appointments, where independent commercial judgement is useful at the top table.
Transactions and introductions
Support on selected major transactions and event hosting opportunities, and introductions to strategic, private and institutional capital where our relationships are relevant.
Beyond sponsorship
Partnerships built into the product.
Some of the most valuable partnerships are not sponsorships at all. They happen when a business' product or service becomes part of how a partner operates, or how its customers buy, pay, watch or play. We structure these technical and integration partnerships, from licensing and supply to commerce and product integration, so they create recurring value on both sides and a true partnership between the parties.
Ventures
Ownership where we add value.
Merenti's founder has minority interests in selected businesses across a range of industries, including wellness beverages, resources technology and customer data platforms, and intends to build further positions where there is a strong fit.
Alongside that, Merenti invests what capital alone cannot: relationships, market access and commercial advice.

Founder, Merenti
We would rather be measured by outcomes than hours, and share in what we help create.
Olaf has spent more than fifteen years helping organisations unlock commercial growth, negotiating agreements and transactions worth more than US$1 billion along the way.
Most recently he was Vice President, Global Partnerships at Dentsu Sports International, leading the Dentsu Sports team across EMEA. Before that he led the Sports & Events division at Al Tamimi & Company, advising government entities, clubs, brands and athletes across MENA, and spent nearly five years at TEAM Marketing in Switzerland negotiating sponsorship, licensing and commercial agreements on behalf of UEFA for the UEFA Champions League and its other club competitions.
He began his career as a commercial and IP lawyer and registered player agent, and founded the NBL Combine, Australia's first elite basketball showcase. He currently holds board and advisory positions across sports technology, consumer and infrastructure businesses.
For clients, that combination means one senior person who can see the commercial opportunity, spot the legal and structural questions early, and negotiate the deal through to signature, working alongside specialist counsel rather than in place of it.
